So, you might have thought that the Terminator saga was done with? Think again. Recently there’s been lots of action in the world of Terminator, and none of it really has anything to do with the Governator, either.

First up is the trailer for Fox’s new science fiction television show, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which is set for release in 2008.

In all honesty, Fox will probably butcher it and underfund it, which is possibly the biggest detractor from good television science fiction and bad ones. Good science fiction today doesn’t require much of a budget, but it does require creative special effects workers, and those are in short supply (especially with all the great stuff going on in studio films).

The second tidbit of news is that there will be more Terminator movies! In fact, there are reports that there’s actually going to be a complete new trilogy of Terminators. From where we left off in Terminator 3, it sounds like the rest of the stories could comprise the formation of the resistance, the rise and almost total wipeout of humanity by the machines, and finally, a human counter-attack that saves humanity. Or, turns us all in to little batteries. Does T6 lead in to The Matrix? Doubtful, but it could be fun, couldn’t it?
